6 hour shoes

They're very cute shoes, but they are more like 6 hour shoes than 13 hour shoes and I wore them for 13 hours yesterday.

After two nights of not great sleep, and on a day when I was going to be away from home for extra long, I decided to wear 6 hour shoes. My boys would tell me that I am afraid of success.

I don't know.

I was missing out on sleep to pursue my hobby of useless worrying.  It's no fun and accomplishes nothing!  What a great hobby!

Jamie had brought Dr. Pepper Floats at lunchtime to celebrate our assistant principal and it couldn't have happened to a more tired girl.  I appreciated the boost!

I had my math fluency class after school.  The last one!  I went straight from there to meet Mark.  We ate dinner and menu planned.  Adam joined us, which made me even happier than the Dr. Pepper Float.  We talked awhile and he said, "Why don't you go home and Mark and I will go to the store."

My knight in shining armor does not have a trusty steed, but a Subaru with a lot of miles.

I gratefully took my 6 hour shoes home.

When I got home, I went on the front porch to retrieve some Amazon packages.  I called over a greeting to our neighbor, Doug, who was in his driveway.  I asked him how he was doing.  He said, "I'm still kicking!"

Then he added, "Vicious kicks."

I didn't 100% know what that meant, but I felt like I understood the sentiment.
