There must be quite a few things that a hot bath won't cure, but I don't know many of them.

Thoreau said, “Most of the luxuries and many of the so-called
comforts of life are not only not indispensable, but positive hindrances to the
elevation of mankind.”
But I disagree.
Today I am glorying in creature comforts.
But I disagree.
Today I am glorying in creature comforts.
Besides brown eyes, left handedness, and mostly unruly hair,
Mark and I have something in common.
We both like creature comforts.
We love snuggling into a warm nest of softness. We love assembling a vignette of
delights to make us content.
And so, a list of my favorite creature comforts that make me
thankful to be alive:
Fleece blankets
Hot chocolate
A perfect pillow
Warm socks
Ice cubes in my drink
Cool cotton sheets
Cardigans
Sitting by a fire
Sitting in sunshine
(wearing sunglasses)
Climbing into a hot car on a slightly chilly day
Hot apple cider
Gloves

Perfectly toasted marshmallows
Sitting in the shade on a warm day
Drinking from a straw
A comfortable chair with a place to put my feet up
and of course, a really hot bath...I may cook myself some day

I like how you write--"I may cook myself someday." Please don't, by the way. I think if you were cooked it could hinder our relationship.
