Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

I am a list maker. I have a to do list every day (lately it’s a TeuxDeux list because I have that app and I love it). How I love a good list!
Lists make me feel grateful too. Here’s a list of lists I am glad I have:
List of books I want to read
List of movies I want to see
List of songs I own in itunes (more specifically a list of my favorites so I don’t accidentally collide with Gypsy King a.k.a. torture)
List of blogs I read
List of people I send Christmas cards to
List of menu ideas…when I have what’s for dinner figured out, I feel like I’ve achieved Nirvana
List of recipes I want to try
List of housecleaning jobs divided amongst my children (I finally--for now?--have landed on a system that works marvelously
Some of my lists are less literal and more in my head:
List of people to ask for help with a home repair (my dad or brothers)
List of friends to call if I need help with my kids
List of people to talk to when I’m in a crisis (big or small)
List of people to ask for help with a sewing dilemma (my mom, Marianne, Adam’s mom…Olivia is definitely 3rd or 4th string on this one and she laughs when I ask her because she’s like me and has no idea)
List of people who I am forever indebted to because they’ve been kind to my children
List of people who shaped my thinking
List of people whose service meant more to me than they’ll ever know

A list of lists? Brilliant.
I love lists too. I keep lists of:
1. chores to finish
2. projects/recipes I want to try
3. Books I've read/want to read
4. things that make me happy/bring me joy
5. Repairs needed on our car (unfortunately this list keeps growing longer)
Just to name a few.
This is one of my favorite 31 Days blog series that I have been reading. Thanks!
Thank you. I'm so glad you're reading.
Oh my goodness. I love lists, and I love this post. Such good things to be thankful for!
