Christmas Bears part 5

In 1999 Braeden's Christmas wish was for scissors. It was all he wanted. He got the scissors. Santa's nice like that. This may or may not be the pair.

After all these years we now have over 132 of these milling around our house (give or take).

And here's a tip: these innocent looking "safety" scissors cut little girl's hair. Just so you know.

1999 was also a banner year for our family. It brought our girls--Emma (in February)

and Millie (in December).

Millie was our first girl bear. (Braeden and Emma think that Smith is a girl too. They are wrong. They were not born when we got Smith so I therefore reserve the right to designate gender.) Millie was named for being brought into the family on the cusp of a new millennium. She was purchased in Hamden, Connecticut. Emma sleeps with her every Christmas Eve.

This picture was taken of Emma that Christmas.

Silly Emma is holding Hobee. She didn't realize that someday I'd be writing a blog and it would have been handy if she'd posed with Millie. She was only 10 months old though. I won't hold a grudge.

Santa's nice like that.

You made me laugh 3 times in that post. I think your Santa might be nicer than the Calton Santa.
